A Heritage of Leadership and Enterprise

Georgiana Mart was born in Roman, Neamț County, into a Moldovan family of Hungarian origin. She descends from the Marton and Demishek families who settled in Pildești generations ago. The Mart name represents entrepreneurship, agriculture, and public service in the region. Their enterprises include farming, trade, construction, baking, and retail, forming one of the most enduring networks in local business.
Members of the Mart family have held positions as mayors, army officers, and community leaders. Among their archives is a photograph of her great-great-grandfather, a Romanian army colonel during World War II, whose service remains a symbol of duty and resilience. During the communist era, the family faced marginalization yet continued to uphold education, integrity, and cultural preservation.
Today, the Mart name remains active in agriculture, retail, and commerce while maintaining influence in regional enterprise. Blending Romanian and Hungarian heritage, they created a multicultural legacy that continues to influence Georgiana’s leadership. She chose independence early in her career and created her own companies under the Navon name without veering away from her family’s spirit of excellence that is widely celebrated even internationally.
Georgiana Mart pursued an independent direction in business while her two brothers manage the family’s existing ventures. Their activities include agriculture, trade, and regional commerce, forming a constant presence in local markets.
